Born in the hip hop capital of the world, New York City’s infamous borough called The Bronx, 1 Tru Heat has come out swinging with this powerful new single. “Twisted” is the most significant release from the rapper to date, and has been turning heads from NYC to Los Angeles, and from Tokyo to Madrid.

“Rapping was a way to get away from reality,” writes the musician of his start in music.

Having lost both of his parents at a very young age, 1 Tru Heat’s reality was something anyone would want to get away from. His monumentally difficult youth informed his art and helped to sculpt him into the performer of great energy and charisma he is today. He does not shirk this dark period of his life, but rather embraces it as part of who he is.
