Astoria, New York-based power-pop combo 10 Heads High was formed in 1999 by singer Marc Lombardo and guitarist Tommy Kohl--while Michael Borenstein was the first and only bassist to audition for the group, it took a far more exhaustive search to land drummer Brian King, a former member of neo-psych outfit the Anderson Council. Self-released singles including "My Summertime," "Celebrated" and "Stepchild of a Genius" preceded 10 Heads High's Claudius Mittendorfer and Bart Migal-produced full-length debut From Here to Tupelo, issued in October 2002 on the PileOn label. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
