1=0’s 5-track EP 'Secte' puts an end to the longest hiatus of the project and to a recording and mixing process fragmented by time and distance.

Once straightforward nihilistic, 1=0 emerged In the early 2000s as a release valve for some kind of anger, dissatisfaction and struggle about finding a role to fit in. It started with a drum machine, sampler pedal, and electric guitar woving a minimal, direct sound, seasoned with a mix of rapped and sung vocals like <a href="spotify:artist:2yctAUiUiOBP52UC77cToq" data-name="Diabologum">Diabologum</a> before them. Over time, the band expanded with the addition of a bass and then a drum kit, gathering friends from the same underground (<a href="spotify:artist:46VVATy2oCeOC7RoAnHZDN" data-name="Nolderise">Nolderise</a>'s Jildaz, <a href="spotify:artist:0v3TQmHQahcwLC3e4VI1TD" data-name="King Q4">King Q4</a>, Julien Besse, Fred-Martin Bouyer and Dylan Bendall (<a href="spotify:artist:0J5hH3lMcCI6MAgbElI62B" data-name="Lab°">Lab°</a>, Schoolbusdriver, Quark).
In ’Secte’, whose title track - suggested by the band’s friend and acolyte, <a href="spotify:artist:48G1jUwNMx6Y8B6mi0iV0H" data-name="Orval Carlos Sibelius">Orval Carlos Sibelius</a>- is a nod to ‘Sec’, 1=0’s debut LP from 2009, the songs lyrics seek reconciliation of heart and reason, shaping a personal and fragile peace, hoping to spread to the collective.
