100 lights

Me (John Phillips) and Kassidy [McKean] met in the summer of 2020 and the first time i heard her voice, i was blown away. i knew that we needed to work together sometime. little did i know that she would become the perfect edition i needed for all of my production in music, but also one of the most trustworthy, loving, loyal and best friends i would ever get.
during the months before we met, i had been through a lot, and relationships were a struggle for me. there was little to nothing motivating me, and i turned to writing and producing music for a release of feelings. as soon as i met kassidy, and shared my feelings on the song, and heard her voice on the first recording, i knew we would click instantly; and we did. after a few rough experiences, sad, relatable, beautiful music seemed to make sense for me to write, so thats what i did. me and kassidy worked on our first single "our kind of love" for a total of 9 months, and our hearts truly went into the song. the single was written and produced completely in my basement studio, where all our creativity comes to life. we are 100 lights, and we hope you enjoy this "true story" experience of a song.
