SO WHO ARE WE REALLY…?
In late 2019, Ryan had recently moved from Maple Ridge to Aldergrove with his family. In search of the local talent, he decided to go to the Book and Bean. A small coffee shop and used bookery, that every Friday night would host an open mic. Tay, who was a shy and awkward, 14 year old girl, would often go out with friends to the open mic, to feed her inner “starving artist”. Although she had always performed in various talent shows, she found the open mic to be a fresh, new, adventure. Ryan, who was a solo performer known as Captain Silvertooth, could really connect with the audience whilst on stage due to his outgoing personality. This created a perfect, future, balance for the two of them. Soon after Tay finished her set that night, Ryan quickly introduced himself - and the two of them decided to start working together.
After months of collaborating and many shoutout ideas, Ryan and Tay, called themselves 1543 Duo. Two years later, the 1543 Duo is proud to say that they have been working hard over the last couple years, to become the musicians they are today. They have a strong passion for music and a great love of sharing it with the world around them.
