1900 is a solo project by Swedish composer and producer Christian Gabel. Intended as a one-off recording project, the first album ”1900” was released in 2008 but was after a 8 year long silence eventually followed up with the album ”Tekno” in 2016. During the first ten years of existence, 1900 never played live but in 2018 a series of audiovisual shows were performed to wide critical acclaim. The shows were recorded and released as the live album “Fältinspelningar”.
Christian Gabel also makes synthesizer-based music under his own name and has released three albums to date. He is a member of the iconic swedish postpunk/pop/synth-band bob hund.
