Born in 1996, American rapper and poet, 1k Watts is from Bakersfield, California. Watts began rapping at the age of 12, followed by his initial releases of music at the age of 14. 1k Watts’ first mixtape, “Backpack Full of Blunts”, was released in 2014 and circulated heavily throughout his hometown, reaching local newspapers and magazines. Later that year, 1k Watts, joined the “Declaration of Independents” tour stopping in cities across California. In 2015, Watts linked up with the well known director, Rex Arrow, for his first music visual for “Life of a Stoner”. Which was the first single for his soon to be released 2nd mixtape, “a Stoner’s Story”. From the years 2017-2020, Watts worked with superstar names such as Dizzy Wright, Sir Michael Rocks, Stitches and many more as well as shot and released dozens of music visuals while traveling the country making music. In 2022, 1k Watts released his debut poetry collection, “Dead Man’s Poetry (Vol. 1)”.
