The South has never had more to say. Big Sant and RedCoat Da Poet powered up like Votron to become 2 Player in 2019. Hailing from Meridian, MS and Warner Robins, GA respectively, 2 Player’s sound is drenched in the blood and sweat of traditional southern hip hop. With the release of their self titled debut EP, 2 Player created a space in the music that could previously appeared lacking. By creating new music akin to sounds of legendary labels such as Suave House and Rap-A-Lot they have continued to pave the way for southern lyricism. Dubbing their sound “Retro South” 2 Player pulled the best elements from crunk, blues, soul to have something of their own. 2 Player has opened for artists such as Big K.R.I.T., Devin the Dude, Scarface, Bun B and Run The Jewels. Their second EP 'Retro South' is set to release 1.29.21.
