2088 is a Dutch melodic techno act by producer Michel Ranzijn and embodies a pure and lasting mission: to spread love in any magnitude thinkable. The power of sound is his sole weapon.
The sound of 2088 is a blend between modern day techno and unique analog melodic elements. By the use of dark and dramatic emotional chord progressions, mysterious effects, raw synths and danceable basses 2088 aims to take the listener on a journey through his subconscious.
During numerous livesets he played so far, 2088 became known for only playing out his own material. Therefore, his studio work hasn’t gone unnoticed either, with recent releases on Nova Collective and Pursuit Recordings. It’s no surprise to learn that his tracks are regularly supported by the likes of Rob Hes, Armin van Buuren, Miss Melera, Nicole Moudaber, Teenage Mutants, Olivier Weiter, Fideles and many more..
Like his love for music, 2088 is not confined to any time or space. There is no such thing as ‘now’ as far as physics is concerned. The distinction between past, present and future is only an illusion, Einstein once told. Everything we see is in the past, unless if you know where to look.
