Having racked up approximately 4.8 million YouTube views from 2015, the 28s group was a fan favourite as people liked their uniqueness as they brought a sense of thrill to drill music with dancing and their ad-libs. Fans also liked that the main artists in the group were the 3 blood brothers Sykes, Young Sykes and Lil Sykes. In a YouTube interview with Uncle Rafool in 2017 (currently on 147,000 views), when questioned about the messages they give in their music Lil Sykes responded "the message we want to give to the young ones is stick with your brothers and don't cause any trouble, only defend when trouble comes". This ties in with their "Never Leave My Brothers" motto which they repeatedly mention in their music. The 3 brothers were on course to making it mainstream after doing shows with Mist and Abracadabra is when they were huge characters in the drill scene In 2016/17. The recognition from these artists shows their versatility, which they showed by rapping on grime instrumentals in their hit singles "Warlords" (878,000 views and counting) and Genuine (134,000 views). The 28s are now trying to comeback and take over the drill scene once again
