29Popband, the French post Daft Punk acoustic duo formed by Sylvain Savreux and Yann Cortella. Sylvain, the lead singer, plays a 12 strings guitar, and a shaker wrapped around his left foot. Yann plays what the duo calls, the "acoustic groove machine", which comprises double bass, bass drum, left foot stomp and tambourine. Yann also sings harmonies, sometimes doubled up.

After 300 concerts, 5 years of collaboration, they development a new project during the global lockdown of 2020 in France. They disconnect their instruments and become unplugged. A need to express artistic, and professional resilience, at the heart of a particular moment. While it sounds like a great departure, it's a leap into the unknown, which will be the engine of inspiration in writing songs.

The experience is meant to be the ultimate: it's about playing the music of tomorrow, with the instruments that have always been around. It's about integrating pop, dance, chill, funk and electro in the playing of instruments and voices. It's about the lyrics and the subjects that are dear to the duo. Being able to set a dance floor on fire without electricity, no matter where, and under any condition. Whether just for two people in an apartment, or in front of the crowd at major festivals. It's about music in the literal sense. No cake, no fake. It's Pop, it's funky, it rocks, it’s a real live performance.
