2 a.m. Orchestra is the brain-child of David J. Kelley, a California-born songwriter and producer who now makes his home in Auckland, New Zealand.
2 a.m. Orchestra is largely a solo endeavor – a recording project - but Kelley has sporadically toured with an ever-evolving live band over the years.
2 a.m. Orchestra has released five studio albums, 2 a.m. Orchestra (self-titled), Impermanence, Working to Divide, Trading Graves, and The Last.
2 a.m. Orchestra received nationwide radio support in New Zealand for the song “Heads and Tails,” has been nominated for the Taite Music Prize, and has been featured on several of NZ On Air’s “Kiwi Hit Discs.”
