2ish

2ish, is the instrumental collaboration between the two virtuosic musicians: Saskia Tomkins on #nyckelharpa, viola and violin. Brandon Scott Besharah: acoustic fingerstyle guitar, and occasionally saxophone, clarinet, banjo and hurdy gurdy (yes, really!) Purely instrumental, their original compositions contain strong jazz and folk elements, sometimes described as "a living film score". Their music often reminds the listener of music once created by the artists Michael Hedges, Django Reinhardt & Stephane Grappelli, Oliver Schroer, and Art Turner. Their musical style is sometimes referred to as “Heavy Wood”, though it is so much more than that. Separately, they are master musicians on their instruments, together, their music captivates and enthralls, the instruments always weaving and dancing together. Performing together is their idea of nirvana - beautiful, fun, intense, still, joyful. There are over 50 years of combined musical experience between them.
