2kDrae, born in the music-rich city of Gary, Indiana, began rapping at the age of 16 in his short stent in San Diego and Los Angeles; but shortly after high school he returned to the Midwest to co-create their own label FYT (Family You Trust) in 2012.He debuted his first project "Hard Work/Loud Purp" (2013). The follow-up "Hard Work/Loud Purp 2 The ePIFFany" (2015) caught the attention of numerous blogs and magazines. 2kDrae was featured in the January issue of Hip Hop Weekly Magazine, Can I Talk My Ish and USD2R.


His music can be heard on hit radio station in North Carolina 104.5FM.
He has had performances at varies venues within the Midwest such as Bluebird (Bloomington, IN), Mojoes (Joliet, IN), Evil Olive (Chicago, IL), Double Door (Chicago, IL) and The Metro Chicago along with many others. He has performed with artists such as Dom Kennedy, Rick Ross, YG, Curren$y, Rae Sremmurd, Que, Taylor Bennett, Skeme, Rich Boi, Mike Jones, and much more.


His newest single "Weekend Wife" ft Olos was released in February 2017 with co-production from Lonestarr (Big KRIT, 2 Chainz, Gorilla Zoe) and Dave Foreman (Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus, DJ Quik).
