A Cantopop duo of sisters based in Hong Kong, 2R rose to fame in the mid-2000s.

Born in Malaysia, the sisters -- Rosanne Wong and Race Wong -- were raised in Singapore and moved to Hong Kong to launch their careers in show business after being discovered by an agent at a singing competition. In association with Universal Music, the sisters released their full-length album debut, Two of Us (2003). The follow-up albums 2R United (2004) and Revolution (2005) proved more successful, thanks in part to the sisters' then-fledgling careers as actresses. Their roles in the film China’s Next Top Princess and Ab-Normal Beauty (2004) were particularly popular, earning Race a nomination for Best Newcomer at the 2004 Hong Kong Film Awards.
