3Li is a young up-and-coming Beirut-based producer and songwriter. He discovered FL Studios in 2017 and taught himself how to produce. He crafted his signature sound by sampling Shia anthems and ‘latmiyet’ over a range of Hip Hop beats, mainly Drill.
Inspired by the sounds of his childhood, his unique approach pays tribute to his hometown of Aadloun in South Lebanon, combined with the global influences he shares with his generation. Growing up in post-war South Lebanon, following the withdrawal
of Israeli troops and the 2006 war, 3Li reflects a reality that
resonates with many youth around the region. His debut album features tracks ranging from hard-hitting Trap beats to soulful Boom Bap rhythms, infused with rare archival samples. A lot of the drum patterns, specifically the off snares, are inspired by the sound of military marches; combined with dreamy chords and anthemic samples to evoke emotions ranging from victorious to mourning to hopeful.
