4THSEX is the brainchild of French, LA-based producer, Jean Marc Virard. For a decade, the creative/art director, designer and music producer has been working intensively and actively in the Los Angeles underground street wear and high fashion scene. 4THSEX pays homage to the way that adolescent minds reinvent themselves and the world. Playing with themes such as rave, bass, banlieues (suburbs of a large city), street energy and the Gabber scenes of Europe, 4THSEX presents refined alternatives to overthought design in music. With obvious references to cultures such as Chicago House, Detroit Techno, Post-punk, Bass music and 90's Rap Rn’B, the 4THSEX sound is as futuristic as it is vintage. 4THSEX production, look and politically incorrect graphic styles give form and color to all the contradictions and ambiguities of the underground and it's ever evolving identity.
