Introducing - Houston’s hottest rapper 5th Ward JP and his debut EP Different Me.

The 26 year old is from 5th Ward in Houston, a place so special he made it a part of his name. He’s been hailed as one of the area’s most exciting rapper’s and has put 5th Ward back on the Hip Hop map for the younger generation. With a new look and a new sound, he’s known for his melodies and captivating style.

Musically he’s inspired by fellow Southern rappers like Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane and Young Scooter.

JP describes his sound as everything with Houston at its heart! And he’s part of the legendary Houston collective ‘The Sauce Factory’ alongside artists like Sosa Mann, Sauce Walka and Sancho Saucy. Without this collective Hip Hop Culture wouldn’t feature the terms Sauce and Drip!

JP's debut EP aka the DripTape – Different Me features long-time friend and collaborator JRag2x, who has produced for A$AP Rocky, Meek Mills and Lil Uzi Vert. Big Baby Flava a local legend and TheBlueCheeseBoss Rodji Diego.

The ep has been crafted in Houston, by Houston for the World! JP has found a way to mix all of his local influences with a global sound and highly melodic choruses. Houston’s street’s may be dripping in Sauce, and now it’s all of our turns to ride the wave!

JP describes the EP as “showing different sides of me, less of the street life, it’s a little bit of everything of me - on the good side”.
