Straight out of Birmingham, Alabama. 71GangBeez and his love for music was inspired by car rides with his father blasting old school G-funk and Hip-Hop from MC’s like <a href="spotify:artist:3Mcii5XWf6E0lrY3Uky4cA" data-name="Ice Cube">Ice Cube</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0eGh2jSWPBX5GuqIHoZJZG" data-name="ICE-T">ICE-T</a>, and other artists. Beez became more involved with music being around his older cousins who made music as a hobby. Around age 15/16 Beez was 1/4 of a rap group “Final 4”. The group was short lived and Beez stepped away from music for nearly a decade. Being inspired by upcoming major artists, family, peers, and displeasure with the lack of creativity in his hometown 71GangBeez slowly emerged back onto the music scene. Releasing songs under the well known name “Beez” and then converting to the stage name 71GangBeez to display the strength and unity he would like displayed in Birmingham which was founded in 1871, hence the “71” in 71GangBeez. Beez gained most of his following performing at different events throughout Alabama during his “Nostalgia EP 2” campaign with song “Cry No More” addressing racial injustice and dedicating it to the black lives that were taken over the years from police brutality and racism. 71GangBeez’s versatility and creativity helps him stand out from most artist.
