About band:
If one compares musicians to cooks, the members of 7he Myriads are definitely adherent to the French cuisine. First of all, eclecticism: they use a huge amount of ingredients, from spicy funk to fat house or dense space-rock. Second, the style: no matter how many ingredients get into the boiler, the meal served will always have tracks of the way the musicians write their music. Third, romance: even if initially 7he Myriads plan to record something really hard, the final composition will surely have a hint of dreaminess.
About music:
It is a bow to the era of all-round enthusiasm for space exploration and travelling to far off galaxies that swept across Russian (then Soviet) youth in the late 70's-early 80's. Highly influenced by the sound of the likes of Didier Marouani's Space and Soviet space-rock legend Zodiac (which sold 20 million copies of their albums in the USSR and lately found way to Environ's "Unclassics" compilation), all tracks on the LP are well charged with nostalgic analogue synth lines, powerful guitar riffs and dynamic live drums. If someone told us this was some unreleased stuff produced back in 1980, we would certainly believe...
