We are 80/40 (eighty-forty). We met at music production school in Matt’s hometown of Elgin, Illinois; 8,040 miles from Ujwal’s hometown of Mumbai, India. Our love for music brought us together many times in the studio, and since every time was not only a ton of fun, but also super productive and inspiring. We’ve grown to become good friends over the last 2 years and are excited to take our idea of bridging Mumbai and Chicago with our music to the next level. 8040 is alive, and we hope you’ll join us on this journey either as a listener or collaborator.
