8ty is an artist from the south shore of Montreal. At a young age, he developed a great interest in the melodies of cartoons and commercials on TV and would memorize them. At school, he would create melodies to recite during class and spent a lot of time freestyling with friends. His interest in music grew while exploring mainstream rappers.

Growing up in a challenging environment and having to face many obstacles related to substance abuse, 8ty developed a strong will and the urge to work on himself to be able to make a difference in his situation. The Haitian artist decided to take the big step and go from freestyling sessions in his car to recording music diligently on a daily basis. Ready to share his story, he is inspired by artists like Meek Mill, Russ, Offset and Future which helped to create his style and universe. With the collaboration of Fiktion, his good friend and producer, they started by building a home studio in their parents basement and created this raw and ambitious experience.

8ty released his first Mixtape in 2017 named ‘’Call it what you want’’ featuring the single ‘’Doughman’’. He quickly exhibits his identity with the title ‘’Link Up’’. In the following year, he released a second mixtape ‘’All In: Invest in yourself’’ featuring the single ‘’Thank God’’ and continues to prove his devotion to his craft and ambition.
