A Chance Without stood as one of the more unique acts to come out of the 2000's Seattle rock scene. Incorporating several distinct genres into one accessible package, they quickly gained fans from all walks after their debut in 2005.

Catchy, sing-along choruses bled frequently with brutal metal solos, progressive rock breakdowns, and 90's era alternative riffage. Consistent showcases at legendary local spots like The Showbox and El Corazon helped the band become known for their signature charismatic stage show, blending impressive musicianship with crowd participation and an all-out blitz of energy.

After several different stints recording their early material and fleshing out the lineup, their debut album, fittingly titled "A Long Time Coming," finally released in late 2006, featuring fan-favorites such as "Whenever I Suffer." The follow-up, 2007's "This Life", found the band coming into its own with a more mature and polished fusion of hard rock and mainstream power pop, as heard on tracks like the opening banger "Mirage" all the way to the metal and punk-infused "Bears in the Sky."

A Chance Without went on indefinite hiatus following the release of "This Life" in late 2007.
