A Circle Of Friends was formed in 2019, quickly building a reputation as an original and entertaining live act.
ACOF is built on enthusiasm for all things americana. Storytelling songwriting, dark melancholia, engaging country rock, harmonies, and the use of mostly acoustic instruments.
The members come from different backgrounds. Singer Alex began in heavy metal, enjoyed success in AOR during the 90’s, 00’s and 10’s and is a household name in Denmark as a popular radio DJ.
Thea stayed for a while in Ireland, working the folk scene. Julie pilgriming in British Columbia, working on a ranch, driving cattle on horseback to a soundtrack of all country music.
Emil, a talented musician and songwriter, but also a student and curator of instruments and the history of country, bluegrass and americana. The only member of the band, living on a farm.
Asger is always up for a challenge with new instruments. Experienced in playing other genres of music which makes him a very versatile member.
Latest arrival is Morten Overgaard, with experience from several Danish bands playing indie pop and folk. Morten is also a talented artist in painting, graphics and art photography.
