Johanson’s own story begins amid the serene beauty of a Dutch countryside farm. With an old keyboard, a toy piano, and his mother's guitar as his initial canvases, he discovered his lifelong passion for crafting melodies and sound. As his horizons expanded, he found inspiration in the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Ben Howard and Fleet Foxes, as well as composers like Nils Frahm and Ólafur Arnalds. Their music, a blend of emotive storytelling and intricate instrumentals, became the bedrock upon which he built his own distinctive sound.
October 2022 marked a pivotal moment in Johanson's career with the release of his debut album, Who Are We Fooling. With this concept album Johanson invites listeners to question the bonds that connect us to the natural world, creating a musical piece that resonates with both heart and mind. May 2024 he released his second studio album A Soundtrack to a Never-Ending Story.
