A Sudden Turn is the creative fusion of José Ramón González Plaza and Fred Mojica Cruz—two musicians who crossed paths during their music studies in college. What began as friendship forged through shared recitals and long hours in class evolved into something deeper: a musical connection that felt too natural to ignore.
At the end of 2024, a casual studio hangout turned into their first collaboration, birthing the emotionally charged track “The Night We Met.” The synergy was instant. That spark became the foundation for their debut EP of the same name, released on February 28, 2025.
Blending from soft to heavy rock with touches of nostalgic melancholy and modern production, A Sudden Turn thrives on raw emotion and detail.
By the end of May 2025, the band expanded its lineup with the addition of Spooky on bass, a musician whose fresh ideas and technical skill have elevated the band’s sound and live performance.
Now focused on growing their audience and bringing their music to the stage, A Sudden Turn continues to create with intention, letting connection and honesty lead the way.
