When members of Rains of Apathy created A Summary Execution the sound created was unlike anything heard before.
A fusion of nintendo and melodic punk, with a metallic-hardcore feel, this band has an energy and innocence that separates them from the many bands that attempt to mimic the sound they have mastered.
In reference to musical genres and the 'hardcore' music scene the band states simply:
'Contrary to what people call hardcore these days, we are not a hardcore band. We like to think of ourselves as Mock-Rock, Anti-Tough Guy, Nintendo and Punk Influenced Poppy Metal.
Our influences also include: Beer, Alcohol, and Making Fun of Your Band.'
