Pune/Mumbai based multidisciplinary artist, Aarifah’s wears the discomfort of vulnerability with ease to create a song that is equal parts hope and heartbreak. With her latest release 'Anyway', the soft-spoken and measured artist co-produced the track with Zain Calcuttawala to confidently deliver another heartfelt record to her growing catalogue.
She has released ‘Hey Good Evening’ as a part of being a finalist of Nexa Music’s talent hunt mentored and produced by A. R. Rahman and Clinton Cerejo (2019) but Now She Knows (2022) is the self-produced debut single released by the songstress. Having performed across
cities at Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival and Orange Festival as well as being a supporting guitarist for MTv's Angels of Rock. She has also performed in Sri Lanka for Luna Festival (2020). Her music has been featured on National Geographic’s Chasing the Sun Moment, Rolling Stone as well as TLC’s The Poetist. She has had the opportunity to work in collaboration with Sandunes and Red Bull for Switching Rails, supported Prateek Kuhad, Madame Gandhi and Parekh and Singh on their tours and performed drums for a Levis x Deepika Padukone advert. One of her biggest achievements is being part of an artist residency that performed for and alongside Yo-Yo Ma on his tour in India.
