Aaron Talley was born and raised in the great state of Michigan, where he developed a lifelong love for Detroit sports and a deep appreciation for storytelling. His journey took a wild turn in middle school when he lived in the jungles of Colombia for two years while his parents served as missionaries—an experience that sparked his passion for culture and adventure.
While attending Oakland University, Aaron dabbled in everything from Electrical Engineering to Musical Theater. While he didn’t walk away with a degree , he did gain a broader perspective—and a few good stories. When Broadway didn’t call, the U.S. Army did. As a military broadcast journalist, Aaron found his voice, winning Army Broadcaster of the Year in 2001 and serving in Bosnia, Iraq, and Italy.
Italy became home for over a decade, where Aaron built a career as a broadcaster and public affairs specialist. Along the way, he earned his degree, met his wife Linda through community theater, and discovered a love for storytelling through music and performance.
Now based in Manassas, Virginia, Aaron is the bassist and vocalist for the country band Fork in the Road. What started as a COVID hobby—learning bass—turned into a full-blown passion. He recently recorded two original songs in Nashville, including the band’s namesake track, “Fork in the Road,” now streaming everywhere. His music blends country roots with a storyteller’s heart, shaped by a life well-traveled and a spirit that never stops exploring.
