Abantu is a group consisting of three dynamic dance DJs and producers, Milkoeh, OxygenBuntu and Melcesa.
Milkoeh’s career began as a co-producer for a Kwaito Music group called PHEMAS crew, then later developed an interest in house music. He has also co-founded a record label called Dance Nation Sounds.
OxygenBuntu, in 2018 released his breakthrough track, Zulu Kamalandela, which also received international recognition and caught Black Coffee’s attention, who featured the single on his highly acclaimed ‘Music Is King’. With this growing list of accomplishments, he is set to make a lasting impression in the Afro tech/dance scene and beyond.
Melcesa started building his career and production skills with the support of his friends and family. In 2013, he attended the Soul Candi music production course to refine his skills. He has collaborated with OxygenBuntu on their globally-recognised single and has continued to tour Africa and Western Europe in the past few years.
