Hi, my name is Abigail :) I’m a seventeen year old Mexican-American artist who grew up in Southern California. My artist name, Abby Grace, is the name many of my loved ones know me by, especially those from my church family (IPC Bellflower). I’ve always had a passion for art and music. It has not only been an outlet to express my creativity, but it is also a way to reach out to others.
My first single, “ Crown of Thorns” was written during a very difficult time, not only in my personal life, but also for my family; my mom was recovering from the effects of chemotherapy and going through major surgeries. I was also facing my own personal trials as a Christian teenager in a challenging world, but God allowed me to pour out my heart through this song. I give all the glory and honor to Him, for I know it was God’s spirit flowing through me, and instead expressing sadness, God put a song of worship in my heart.
I’m also very blessed with the people God has placed in my life; my family, church family, and my friends. Special thanks to Roberto Menchaca, Suleen Menchaca, Ethan Perez, and Josiah Rodriguez; “Crown of Thorns” would have never become a recording if it wasn’t for you guys and your unconditional support.
