Abel Balder

Determined to shape his own reality Abel Balder dropped out of university to make his music dreams come true. Since a young age the born and raised Amsterdammer devoted most of his spare time to playing the guitar, until he was introduced to electronic music production by a bandmate from highschool. Combining his guitar skills with the beats he was making, his signature sound was complete when he added his vocals to the mix. After building a name for himself with instrumental hip hop beats (Essentials), Abel took on the challenge when he was invited by hometown friends ANOTR to work on their first album. Crafting a sound together that put them at the forefront of the underground house music scene, Abel was introduced to a worldwide audience as the singer and co-creator of Relax My Eyes and Vertigo.

Working on his solo project in the vibrant heart of Amsterdam's city center, Abel combines all the influences he's picked up over the last decade, creating a multi-energetic sonic universe characterised by his dreamy voice, guitar and unique production - inspiring presence, movement and self-reflection. 2025 will see the release of multiple releases from his solo project as well as collaborations with leading dance music artists.
