"Abiyah is the queen of all the mechanical parts of your heart. Her songs let you breathe underwater. She's the only thing your brain and your hips can agree on."
--Open Mike Eagle
Abiyah is a vocalist who embraces a boundary-blurring curveball collage of electronica, dancehall, indie rock, avant-hip hop, & punk blended with the fury of a free wild muse.
Supporting and empowering girls and women in music is an integral part of Abiyah's life. She has presented workshops on performance etiquette and overcoming stage fright at Girls Rock Louisville's summer camp for girls ages 10 to 18, was a primary member of the organizing and booking committees for Ladyfest Cincinnati 2015, and, in June 2015, she presented a strategy session, "Odd Woman Out: Being a Female Hip Hop Artist and Promoter," at the 2015 Allied Media Conference in Detroit.
Abiyah released the video for her collaborative noise rap song "Blup" (with Eugenius) in September 2016, a cassette single, 'Boom', in August 2017, an electro dancehall punk double A-side single, 'Crylike/Masked' in September 2018, and is currently working on several other music projects to be released in 2019.
