Achers are Pat, Pavel, Sabrina & Vicki. Based in London, Achers play catchy, earnest DIY post hardcore inspired indie rock, blending a mix of influences from <a href="spotify:artist:4YjpqCSDD7zwMQgPYJMqb0" data-name="Unwound">Unwound</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:3inCNiUr4R6XQ3W43s9Aqi" data-name="Pavement">Pavement</a> .

Pat’s heartfelt lyrics explore themes of class, parental anxiety, toxic grifters and war - all delivered with impassioned, sing-shout vocals reminiscent of <a href="spotify:artist:7FbdCzKUwoZs1v9bCl43Ev" data-name="Drive Like Jehu">Drive Like Jehu</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2JpHk8yju1DH1l3c9sXzOS" data-name="Dismemberment Plan">Dismemberment Plan</a> , underpinned by Pavel's hypnotic guitar, Sabrina's driving basslines & Vicki's pounding drums.

Their upcoming EP Bottom of the Hill will be the band's first release with drummer Vicki Butler, formerly of post punk band <a href="spotify:artist:41yzFXg6iuyDfw0PYviMHs" data-name="GHUM">GHUM</a> .

Achers formed in 2022 to play London's legendary First Timers Festival which has seen the debut of pioneering DIY bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:39cxr26gqrCiUgIkz4lA8j" data-name="Big Joanie">Big Joanie</a> . Pat and Sabrina, who knew each other through a previous band, signed up for the festival before they’d written a single thing - no songs, no full band and Pat had never sung lead vocals before. They had to pull a set - and a band - together in weeks. They found Pavel online, and Acher's first drummer Illia.The first gig went well. People were kind and no eggs were thrown.

After Illia left the band in 2023, Vicki joined after meeting Sabrina at a Girls Rock London event.

Sabrina Amade also plays in post punk cult 80s band <a href="spotify:artist:4u6ea1cZAFv5gZhCV1bxjX" data-name="Wasted Youth">Wasted Youth</a> who reformed in 2022 and have been touring the UK and playing festivals such as Wide Awake and Rebellion. Pavel Borisov on guitar makes solo electronic music under the name Frailtynine.
