Los Angeles' Acidic is an exuberant, guitar-based rock outfit who balance a raw, hard rock intensity with melodic songcraft and a sophisticated production aesthetic. Centered around lead vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Michael Gossard, Acidic formed while he was still in high school in Southern California. Inspired by a combination of classic rock bands like the Beatles and Led Zeppelin, as well as contemporary acts like Green Day and Jane's Addiction, Gossard began playing local shows and eventually self-released the band's 2008 debut, Ironic Dreams. Although still teenagers, Acidic pursued a steady stream of increasingly higher profile live shows including playing SXSW and supporting Hawthorne Heights on tour, both in 2010. That same year, Acidic released their sophomore album, the Wizardz of Oz-produced Getting Lucky.

In 2011, Acidic worked with veteran producer John Ryan (Styx, Allman Brothers) on their third full-length album, Chronic Satisfaction. The album's single, "Uninspired," received national radio airplay and helped raise public awareness of the band. The following year, Acidic appeared at the Winter NAMM show in Anaheim and played a well-attended headlining show at the famed Troubadour in West Hollywood.

In 2013, Acidic delivered their fourth studio album, Copper Man. Once again produced by Ryan, the album also featured a guest appearance by Candlebox's Kevin Martin. Also in 2013, Gossard made a guest appearance on the fifth season of the FOX TV drama Glee. Riding the crest of their hard-won national exposure, Acidic embarked on their first-ever headlining tour with the Electric Cool-Aid ACIDIC Tour in 2014.

In 2015, Acidic marked the release of their fifth full-length album, Creatures, with a sold-out album release party at The Viper Room in Los Angeles. Produced by longtime collaborator Ryan, the album found Gossard and Acidic moving in a more polished, funk- and groove-influenced direction. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
