Adamantine

ADAMANTINE is a Thrash/Melodic Death Metal band from Lisbon. Founded in 2007 by frontman André Bettencourt, the band started as one of the first acts in the portuguese New Wave of Thrash Metal scene and quickly started opening local shows for some well-known Thrash Metal bands like <a href="spotify:artist:5d6KI8frPEo3qGsIL8Sak2" data-name="Destruction">Destruction</a> / <a href="spotify:artist:7h0muodpQ1q5o3RajwownN" data-name="Gama Bomb">Gama Bomb</a> / <a href="spotify:artist:3csFpGsY4rQQucEXwU0vaS" data-name="Bonded By Blood">Bonded By Blood</a>. By the end of the year, the band was elected by LOUD! Magazine readers as the best portuguese unsigned band of 2010.

In 2012, their debut album <a href="spotify:album:7CwlkRbxqJ9crTAPGz4LPS" data-name="Chaos Genesis">Chaos Genesis</a> was released. The band further expanded their sound into a more complex mix of Melodic Death and Thrash metal and established their brand of Melodic Thrash Metal. The album was recorded at Poison Apple Studios ( <a href="spotify:artist:7y3oasA0wPkffF0e8aVxdq" data-name="More Than a Thousand">More Than a Thousand</a> ) and mastered by Tue Madsen - <a href="spotify:artist:17bYSQ9ZRnreVnJjE5X2x6" data-name="Moonspell">Moonspell</a> / <a href="spotify:artist:5EHvXKnNz78jkAVgTQLQ5O" data-name="Dark Tranquillity">Dark Tranquillity</a> / <a href="spotify:artist:2WLmgv66Uq4vt2i36vwkAq" data-name="The Haunted">The Haunted</a>. The fresh approach, combining Modern Thrash, Melodic Death Metal and Classic Heavy Metal roots, was generally well received with a tour across the country.

The year of 2017 marks the return of <a href="spotify:artist:0IiuWtGwG5FxFzebiUkusK" data-name="Adamantine">Adamantine</a>, with their much anticipated new album, <a href="spotify:album:0fv8Jx9feukBwBRIAbEsUR" data-name="Heroes & Villains">Heroes & Villains</a>, released via Allegiance Recordings.
