Born in Nigeria and raised on Long Island, Addie Balogun has been writing music since the age of 12 years old. From playing around on “Garageband” as a child, to currently producing songs on “Bandlab” digitally on her phone, to eventually recording in a studio at her high school. “The collective” gave her the opportunity to feature in a rap song “Crying All Alone”, and produce her first single “Eden”, earning her praise from her peers, administrators, and family. Her alternative bedroom pop genre could not have been possible without artists such as Beabadoobee, Hozier, Sufjan Stevens, Lana Del Ray, Adele, and Imogen Heap, who inspired her to sing and write.
