Adela Skowronski is a first-generation Polish-American fully immersed in the world of music: through radio, podcasting, event hosting, and writing music.
As a performer, Adela is primarily known for her work on the cello. She studied for many years under Jean Hatmaker, who taught her not only how to understand her instrument, but how to find her voice as a musician. Other aspects of Adela's music education included private piano lessons from a young age, teaching herself guitar, playing in the locally touring rock band They Found Us from 13-19 years old, booking shows for a variety of clients, and a strong tradition of open mic nights. She has appeared as a guest on over 25 albums in Chicago to date and performed everywhere from the Treadwell Coffee to the House of Blues! These days she is most often seen performing with Jory Avner, Dan Asio, or her friends in the classical group Chicago String Collective. Her debut album "Your Wifi Signal Has Been Lost" was released the summer before she went off to college, displaying strong songwriting skills and a distinctive, whimsical style. Her sophomore album "Tales of Love" is scheduled to release on her wedding day in 2023.
Her favorite genres of music are classical, folk and really anything that tells a beautiful story. https://linktr.ee/adelascello
