Two guys in their early 20s kept running into each other in the music industry. One, a young producer with a few releases behind him already, and the other a songwriter with a damn good, distinctive voice. They met at the studio one evening, grabbed something to eat and started writing music. One hour later, “Cloud 9” had been written, recorded and produced.
The sound that they created with “Cloud 9” was so new, different and unique that the two
of them immediately started a joint project called ADEN x OLSON. What happened next might sound like a cheesy, music industry fairy tale, but it’s the truth. Two weeks later,
Bjorn and Aden signed an international record deal and “Cloud 9” was sent into the world as their first single. With this, the two creative minds managed, seemingly with ease, something that artists all over the world aspire to do: create a sound that the whole world wants to listen to. Star producer Felix Jaehn caught wind of the act and got involved in form a remix!
Together, and inspired by a range of musical influences including Bob Marley, Sade and Otis Redding, they’ve created a new style that sits somewhere between the Chainsmokers’ catchy pop-anthems and the great melodies of the 50s and 60s. Aden’s unique vocal colour comes with so much coolness and warmth that you feel drawn into the song right from the very first notes. Moody, soulful and cool!
