Aditi Paul

Identified for a unique texture in her voice, Aditi Paul is at the genesis of her career in Indie music. Beginning her early training under the tutelage of Pandit Ajoy Chakroborty at Kolkata and furthering inputs from Pandit Bhavdeep Jaipurwale in Mumbai, she was one of the finalists in the Indian Idol Season 1. She became an instant choice for many films including ‘Rann’, ‘Vicky Doner’ and others. Her major breakthrough in mainstream Bollywood came when director Sanjay Leela Bhansali noted her unique vocal quality and offered her the two playback songs in ‘Ram Leela’. Her journey continued thereafter with Bahubali-2 and others. Aditi’s proficiency over several regional languages like Marathi, Gujrati, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu in addition to Hindi and her native Bangla, marks her as a coveted talent in the Indian recording industry. Aditi’s versatility found its course in other playbacks working with musical giants like Illyaraja, D. Imman in ‘Kumki’ and A. R. Rahman in ‘Lingaa’.

Having performed in the USA, Dubai, Shanghai, Mauritius and Bangladesh, Aditi scaled newer heights of euphoria as a performer when she toured with the maestro A. R. Rahman for several musical performances worldwide including Singapore, Malaysia and also Bangladesh for the opening ceremony of the T20 World Cup.

Aditi was nominated for her songs in prestigious Award Ceremonies including GIMA and Star Guild, for both film and non-film categories.
