Adrian Lord is a classical British pianist and composer, born and bred in Cheshire. Adrian studied at the world renowned Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, before honing his craft at Colchester Institute’s School of Music. Here, he studied composition with Alan Bullard and Christopher Ball, and won the Canon Jack award for Piano Performance under the tuition of Martin Hughes and Robert Bell.
In 2016 Adrian released his debut album, ‘Journey – Twelve Romances for Piano’. A mesmerising reflection of his inspirational journey as a composer, the album was recorded at Crear – a dramatic location on the west coast of Scotland.
‘Sky Blue Piano’, his second album, was recorded on a return visit to Crear in 2018.
His latest collection of calming compositions, ‘Piano Meditations’ is played with an unhurried feel and a relaxed approach to time. As with his earlier albums, it is available both on CD and as a beautifully bound collection of sheet music for aspiring pianists.
With a joyful, melodic style that his listeners describe as tranquil and relaxing, Adrian is a regular on the concert circuit, performing at venues across the UK.
A keen walker and explorer, nature is an endless source of inspiration for Adrian. His favourite places include the stunning Scottish Islands and the breathtaking Lake District, where to date he has climbed 161 of the 214 Wainwright Fells.
