Aero

“Aero is about love, travel, nostalgia, youth, memories and thirst for life,” sums up the band’s world of thought, singer Henna.

The Aero band, formed by singer Henna Jokela-Lohenoja and guitarist Mikko Lohenoja, was formed in 2011. The couple managed to keep the band hidden even from their close circle until the small-scale first single, fresh pop rock and self-made music video attracted the interest of radios, music sites and Helsingin Sanomat.

Combining pop, folk tones and indie rock, Aero released his debut album in 2012. Folk-influenced Kotkan siiven alle was included on the Yle Radio Suomi playlist, and Kruunuvuorella about villas disappearing from the outskirts of the city, created an article for Helsingin Sanomat and even received attention from Mayor Jussi Pajunen.

In the spring of 2014, Aero was featured on the Eput Rautaa cover album with their version of Eppu Normaali’s song Afrikka, sarvikuonojen maa.

Their long-awaited second album is due in May 2021 with a leading single "Juokse tyttö" which is released in February 2021.
