Aetere is a French doom-metal duo weaving slow-burning, ritualistic compositions that blend melancholy, myth, and spectral atmospheres. Formed in Bordeaux in 2017, Alice Ronzini’s( Ailise Blake, J.C. Satan, LaSecte du Futur) ethereal vocals and guitar intertwine with Johan Sebenne’s ( Year of no Light, Lacustre) droney synths and textures, creating a haunting sonic landscape where ancient myths meet contemporary experimentation. Their debut album, Théogonie, merges crushing riffs with shoegaze haze and literary-inspired lyricism, exploring themes of innocence, mortality, and transcendence.
