Singer songwriter Afrika Fuentes arrived in the Spanish music scene with the acclaimed single Rainbow, selling out gigs upon release and creating a storm with her creative and original music video.
Having already won the BBC New Talent Award for New Songwriters, and written for Cathy Dennis (Britney Sears, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry), Sony ATV signed her up as a songwriter for platinum selling artists worldwide. Amongst her writing credits, she co-wrote the hit "Ay Dios Mío" for the girl band Sweet California, reaching number 1 in the iTunes Spanish charts in 2017.
Based in the UK, Afrika grew up in Madrid, influenced by her mixed background of Spanish, African and Portuguese descent and listening to the likes of Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding and Michael Jackson, turning her music into a creative blend of Pop, R&B, Soul and Latin.
