'Anikana-O’ by Afrika System is the 1986 Italian rework of the legendary ‘Kongas' track from Salsoul Records.

Two year after the infectious vinyl release of the famous Zulu Mix, a 4-tracks remix package - including: US Remix, Monster Mix, Trance Mix and the instrumental Dub Mix - was released in United States, followed by the special release of A Cool Caribbean Mix.
In the years following the release of the original versions, several talented remixers were involved in the project - Woody Bianchi (2007), Moplen (2022), and Massimo Berardi (2023) - and the track back to life.
In the summer of 2023, the label has sourced the multitrack tapes and handed them over to Italian house sensation DJ-producer Lexa Hill. Combining the Afrika System sample with chunky bassline, infectious groove and amazing afro chants, this super uplifting heavy hitter reflects all the boundless energy of the Naples-producer.
