Aga Derlak is a Polish jazz pianist, that’s been travelling around the world gaining musical and life experience. She is Berklee College of Music Alumnus, performing and recording artist, band leader and academic teacher.
The music of Aga Derlak represents most of all unrestrained expression and unstoppable freedom, which direct her on unexplored, winding paths throught the history of her life, inspirations derived from jazz, european music, latin-american folklore, classical music. Under a great influence of her tutor and mentor Danilo Perez she’s been looking for freedom in music derived from Wayne Shorter music philosophy. And this dance in the midst of what is correct and incorrect, what is spoken loudly and delivered between the lines, of what is literal and figurative is what Aga invites the listener to.
She’s released 2 original albums, “First Thought” in 2014 and “Healing” in 2017. The third one “Parallel” will be out at the beginning of 23’. Stay tuned!
