Drum'n'bass producer Agent Alvin (real name: Warren Field) developed an appreciation for various forms of music that is not atypical, transitioning from classical into jazz and rock before digging into funk and hip-hop. Dance music took him during the late '90s; he went from playing guitar to tackling keyboards and samplers. He debuted in 2004 with a 12" on the small LOOP label, and by the end of 2006 he had amassed nearly a dozen singles on labels like Capital, Invader, Full Cycle, and Cyanide, as well as a self-titled full-length with featured vocal turns from Megan Martin, MC Kyla, Spikey Tee, and Ruth Minuit.
