Formed in Pereira in February 2006 by guitarist and composer Luis Calderón, Aggressive has emerged as a powerhouse of Colombian thrash metal with firm roots in the classic San Francisco Bay Area sound. Aggressive's artistic style is defined by sharp riffs, fierce solos, and visceral energy, accompanied by lyrics laden with social, political, and emotional criticism. Inspired by iconic bands such as Exodus, Forbidden, Metallica, Megadeth, and Dark Angel, as well as genres such as thrashcore and New York hardcore, they have forged a powerful and authentic style. The band's artistic vision embraces metal as a means of protest, self-management, and cultural legacy, transcending the local scene to reach international stages thanks to their independent production and the support of labels such as Brutalized Records.
