A four-piece hip-hop outfit from Malaysia, Ahli Fiqir (Dayat, Daly, Samsol the Tukangkata, and DJ Cza) chose to set themselves apart from their genre mates by rapping in Malay as opposed to English on both of their albums. Their first album, Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah (or, in English, "Today in History") was released in 2005, and was followed two years later by their second album, Rap Untuk Rakyat ("Rap for the Masses"). The band won several awards for their debut, including Best New Artist (at the Anugerah Planet Musik Awards in 2006.) ~ Chris True
