Airship River is a weekend project I (<a href="spotify:artist:5kFXOx8ONHOsWhXc2uOfuq" data-name="Daniel Ciurlizza">Daniel Ciurlizza</a>) set up and produced with my composer/producer/sound designer friends who I mix, write, produce, and work with.
When I'm not working on this, I'm:
- Writing music for films, trailers, ads, and other visual media;
- Cooking dinner too late and listening to an audiobook;
- Thinking of different ways I can be better at helping the people I work and interact with.
The name AIRSHIP RIVER was inspired by the Studios Ghibli / Hayao Miyazaki film, "The Wind Rises." There's a scene in it where the main character dreams of a river in the sky, but when he looks closer, the river is actually thousands upon thousands of all kinds of airplanes. It's a stunning scene and it's extremely memorable even in the midst of all the other wonderful Studio Ghibli films. It really stuck with me.
